GLASGOW COVID RESTRICTIONS REDUCE
As of April 26th cafes, pubs and restaurants reopened along with non-essential Retail outlets and beauty salons.
You are now allowed up to 6 people from two different households to socialise indoors within a public space such as a restaurant or cafe.
Tourists and residents of Glasgow and the surrounding areas are now able to look forward to resuming some sort of normality.
Mari a young girl who stays nearby expresses her excitement in being able to out shopping and to restaurants again:
“I’m really excited to be able to go out clothes shopping so that I can actually feel the materials and see the sizes instead of ordering online and just hoping for the best.
I’m also really excited to be able to go out to different kinds of restaurants, instead of just having to have whatever we have around the house.”
She also described the changes that have been made to cater to the new restrictions:
“Going to a restaurant is super safe all the tables are socially distanced, there’s hand sanitisers available everywhere and I always have a spare one in my purse.
You have to wear your mask going into the restaurants and leaving as well as going to the toilets.
Also when you go into the restaurants you have to do track and trace to say how long you’re going to be there and put in your email so that you can get notified if anybody had it.”
